Thank you for considering the International Journal of Research and Practice in Social Sciences (IJRPSS) for the publication of your work. The journal welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, practitioners, professionals, postgraduate students, and interdisciplinary contributors from across the world. We are particularly interested in submissions that encourage meaningful dialogue between research, professional practice, innovation, and social impact across the broad field of social sciences.


Language

All manuscripts must be submitted in English.


Types of Submissions

IJRPSS welcomes:

  • original research articles
  • literature reviews
  • theoretical discussions
  • reflective and practice-based papers
  • interdisciplinary contributions
  • case studies
  • policy and practice discussions
  • innovation papers

Manuscript Length and Formatting

Manuscripts should normally not exceed 20 pages, including references, tables, and appendices unless otherwise agreed with the editorial team. Submissions should:

  • be submitted in Microsoft Word format
  • use double spacing throughout
  • use A4 page size
  • include clear section headings
  • use wide margins
  • be written clearly and professionally

Authors are encouraged to write concisely while ensuring clarity and sufficient detail.


Title Page

The title page should be submitted separately from the main manuscript and should include:

  • title of the manuscript
  • full name of all authors
  • institutional or organisational affiliation
  • full correspondence details for the corresponding author
  • email address for all authors where possible

The manuscript itself should not contain identifying author information in order to support the double-blind review process.


Abstract and Keywords

All submissions should include:

  • an abstract of up to 250 words
  • up to 8 keywords

The abstract should clearly summarise the purpose, methodology, key findings, and conclusions of the paper where appropriate.


Structure of the Manuscript

Articles should be organised using clear headings and, where appropriate, numbered sections and subsections.

The structure may vary depending on the nature of the submission. However, research articles will commonly include:

  • introduction
  • literature review
  • methodology
  • findings or discussion
  • conclusion
  • references

Practice-based and interdisciplinary papers may use alternative structures where appropriate.


Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be clearly labelled and referenced within the manuscript. Authors may place them within the text or at the end of the document.

Images, figures, and tables should be of sufficient quality for publication.


Referencing

Authors should use the latest edition of APA referencing style. All references cited within the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all references included in the reference list must be cited within the text. Submission Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that:

  • the manuscript has not been previously published
  • the manuscript is not currently under consideration elsewhere
  • the submission follows the journal guidelines
  • author details are removed from the main manuscript
  • references and citations are complete and appropriately formatted
  • the manuscript is submitted in Microsoft Word format

Submissions will first undergo an editorial review to assess alignment with the journal’s aims and scope before entering the peer-review process where appropriate.


Open Access Policy

IJRPSS operates as an open-access journal. All published articles are freely accessible to readers. At present, the journal does not charge submission or publication fees.
